Sharper.work is a product of Misfit Island LLC ("we"). Your career history is personal. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control of it.
What we collect
- Your Google account basics: name, email address, and a unique account ID, used to sign you in.
- What you enter: your roles, career direction, and stories, plus any note you add when requesting early access.
- Your résumé: the file is read inside your browser and is never uploaded to us. We only save the roles and accomplishments you confirm.
- Payment status: whether you've purchased access. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
- Usage data: on the live site we use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand which steps people complete (for example, "story completed"). This includes device and browser type, approximate location, and cookies or similar identifiers. We don't send the content of your stories to analytics.
How we use it
To run the service, save your work across devices, confirm your purchase, support you, and improve the product. We don't sell your personal information, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't use your content to train AI models.
Who we share it with
Only the providers that run the service for us:
- Google (Firebase) for sign-in, data storage, and analytics
- Stripe for payments
- Vercel for hosting
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Where it's stored
Your data is stored with Google Cloud (Firebase) in the United States and protected so that only your signed-in account can read or change it. A copy is also kept in your browser for speed, and it's cleared when you sign out.
Your choices
- Edit or remove any role or story at any time.
- Download your stories from the Export step.
- Delete your account and all saved data from the Account page. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Stripe keeps its own payment records as required by law.
- Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, such as access, correction, or objection. Email us to use them.
Retention
We keep your data until you delete it or your account.
Children
Sharper.work isn't for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and let signed-in users know.
